certrecycleoneThe Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste Authority is proud to announce that Bartell Machinery Systems, located in Rome, NY, has achieved certification as an Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste Authority RecycleOne business. This certification reflects Bartell’s strong commitment to environmental sustainability through integration of targeted waste reduction efforts and commitment throughout the business to reduce its environmental footprint.

Along with receiving ISO 9001:2008 certification Bartell was able to reduce its solid waste by 17% through its dedicated “Green Team” efforts while implementing as aggressive recycling program. Bartell extended its efforts beyond just the business allowing its employees to deliver household electronics and batteries to the workplace for proper recycling.

Additionally, Bartell also offers a program to rebuild, restore and upgrade older equipment to improve productivity, serviceability and increase the life expectancy of major capital equipment investments.

The RecycleOne Business Recycling Certification Program requires an on-site review from Authority staff to verify that specific solid waste management, recycling and energy reduction criteria have been achieved. If the criteria have been achieved, the Authority will issue the facility or business an official RecycleOne Business Certification.
