Position: Parts Coordinator (Temporary)
Location/Department: Rome, New York / Inspection

This Position:

This position is a member of the Inspection Department.  The Parts Coordinator will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Under minimum direction, plans and performs basic quality inspection on material for dimensional and material acceptance.
  • Conduct basic incoming inspection by utilizing equipment and tools such as micrometers, calipers, and tape measure.
  • Assists Quality Control Technicians with part marking, and organizing parts in the inspection department.
• Prepare necessary documentation when using outside resources. (i.e. heat treating, plating, coating, machining and fabrication).
  • Inspects, audits and reports on materials, process and products to ensure conformance with company’s quality standards.
  • Monitors returns materials authorization (RMA) system to ensure compliance with company guidelines and standards.
  • Receive and process returned material from customers.
  • Maintain process for final disposition of all parts for inventory control.
  • Ensure accurate quantities are recorded on work orders and purchase orders for data entry.
  • Maintain quality assurance forms required for the detail part inspection procedures.
  • Transfer technical specifications from the blueprints to quality assurance forms.
  • Provide clerical assistance to the Quality Assurance Department.
  • Scan and file non-conforming products reports and completed quality assurance forms.
• Maintain work area in a safe and orderly manner.
• Is 100% committed to the quality process.
  • Provide other clerical work as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Assists in ISO 9001 implementation and auditing process.

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Skills and Relevant Work Experience:

• Computer Literacy
• Candidate should have proficient written and verbal communication skills
• Microsoft Office Suite literacy
• Ability to read blueprints
• Competency with a tape measure.
• Inspection and quality control experience preferred
• Fork truck experience preferred
