Rome, N.Y. – Through research, innovation and process knowledge Bartell continues to push the limits of tire manufacturing technologies and due to this commitment Bartell has been recognized as a finalist in the Tire Manufacturing Innovation of the Year category for its BeadView™ inspection system.

Each year just before the tire industry’s most prominent event, Tire Technology Expo, the Tire Technology International Awards for Innovation and Excellence are voted upon by a twenty-six (26) member panel of industry experts to determine the industries top innovations, environmental achievements, tire technologies, suppliers, and manufacturers. Within the Tire Manufacturing Innovation of the Year category Bartell will also be competing with four other finalists including Bridgestone, Mitsubishi, Kobe Steel, and ROmiLL.

Bartell’s BeadView™ inspection system is the tire industries first non-contact optical inspection system for the quality inspection of production tire beads and measures bead diameter, height, width, and weight. This system provides operators the ability to recall specific bead profiles which the system optically measures the bead under test against to ensure quality production components. With the systems non-contact measurement and capability for data storage, BeadView™ provides the most repeatable and accurate measurements available ensuring the highest quality components with less waste due to poor measurements.

The winners will be announced during the 2017 Tire Technology Expo at a Gala Dinner in the beautiful Kuppelsaal at the Hannover Congress Centrum, on the evening of February 15, 2017. The awards are coordinated by Tire Technology International magazine, which is published by UKIP Media & Events, the organizer of Tire Technology Expo.
